Macrobiotic Health Coach, Teacher and Author Simon Brown
Simon is the founder of Macrobiotics Online. He is the author of Modern Day Macrobiotics and Macrobiotics For Life and a macrobiotic health coach and teacher living in London UK. Simon provides online and in person macrobiotic health coaching and courses.
Simon studied macrobiotics in 1980 in London and went to the USA to study with Michio Kushi, Aveline Kushi, Shizuko Yamamoto and Denny Waxman. Whilst there he helped run the Macrobiotic Association of Philadelphia. Returning to London Simon became the director of London’s Community Health Foundation, the leading macrobiotic centre in the UK, from 1986 to 1993.
Whilst at the CHF Simon co-authored ‘Against All Odds’ with Dr. Faulkner charting his recovery from Pancreatic cancer using a macrobiotic diet. He has run year long macrobiotic certificate courses since 2003. He is an accredited member of the Macrobiotic Association and is the current chairperson. Simon was the director of Lucious Organic, a macrobiotic health food shop and cafe in Kensington High Street, for 8 years.
Recently Simon has spent 2 years working with diabetes specialists from Diabetacare helping to set up macrobiotic health coaching for diabetes patients using macrobiotic foods, exercise, meditation and good sleep.
